MISSION

To increase quality of life through design.

PHILOSOPHY

The built environment affects the way we live in many ways. It affects our emotions, where we walk, the light we see, the air we breathe, and on a larger scale our carbon footprint.

Our goal is to produce functional, inspiring design that will provide serenity to the user and environment.

Each new project has a multitude of factors that we absorb and refine to reveal the pure design solution that will satisfy that goal. These factors define the function of the design. They are generated by client, economic, construction and regional specifications and include views, passive solar collection, snow shed properties, domestic function, budget and style. Derived from the function, we create balanced compositions of relative forms with refined detail.

In addition to its apparent, experiential function, a building should have inherent function. It should sustain its own existence environmentally and economically. It should provide innovation toward a balance with nature and the reduction of operating costs.

The Road to Zero Energy

PRACTICE

An intuitive artistic sense, an architecture education and a local custom home construction background guide the implementation of our design process.

Customer service is paramount. We are willing to go above and beyond what is required in the quest for perfection.

Development

Our service usually begins with an initial consultation and site visit. We then begin modeling the project with SketchUp to visualize the interior and exterior of the home including finishes in three dimensions. We guide the project through the home owner association design review process with renderings produced from the model.

Construction Documents

We efficiently produce thorough and precise construction documents for permit issuance and construction. Our plans are detailed with consideration of how each element will be built and guided by our extensive construction background. The scope of the project will determine how the interior finishes are detailed. Engineering is subcontracted.

Construction Observation

We provide data, advice, drawings and site visits as required to all phases of construction to ensure a high quality product.
